I put them in a large bowl with boiling water and let them sit for about 10 – 15 minutes before adding … I sometimes substitute pecans for walnuts, and sometimes throw in a handful of coconut flakes. This was terrific as written, and reheated really well too. In a large bowl mix together the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, milk, egg, honey and vanilla extract until well combined. I swapped 30 cal almond milk for the ff milk. Made a few adjustments to make GF and used an almond/coconut milk blend, Gina and the skinnytaste recipes have helped fall back in love cooking again.
